  • Get inspired!
The articles in the right column highlight some ideas to reduce your carbon footprint and what resources are available to support your low-carbon choices. Do you have a story or an idea to share? Please contact us.

  • Measure your carbon footprint.
    • In collaboration with the Canadian Standards Association, the Climate Change Directorate created an online Carbon Calculator. You can calculate the greenhouse gases that are emitted by heating and powering your home, commuting to and from work, and going on vacation. Check it out here.

  • Conserve energy at home.
    • The articles in the right column explain some tips for saving energy at home. You can also visit Efficiency Nova Scotia to learn more about their programs for homeowners, renters, and landlords.
