Non-governmental Action
Nova Scotia has many non-governmental groups who are actively involved in Adaptation. Here are three such organizations:
- Climadapt: A private sector driven environmental network providing climate change adaptation expertise in Canada and internationally.
- Climate Change Nova Scotia: Clean Nova Scotia’s mandate is to create a cleaner, healthier environment by informing, enabling, and inspiring Nova Scotians to respect and consider the environment in all their choices. They have a resource page especially devoted to adaptation.
- Ecology Action Centre: The Ecology Action Centre has worked to protect Nova Scotia's environment for over 38 years. The Ecology Action Centre's Coastal Issues Committee has been particularly active in the field of climate adaptation.
