  • Summary

This calculator allows you to estimate the carbon footprint of a business or not-for-profit organization. This calculator covers building energy use, business travel and event hosting. You can complete all three steps or skip to the ones that interest you most.

Part 1. Building Energy Use | Skip

Use utility bills to enter information about the building electricity and fuel use. If these records are not available then an estimate can be made based on a building profile. An estimate based on a building profile is less accurate because assumptions will have to be made about the building that may not be accurate. GHG emissions from buildings are most accurate when estimated using actual utility records for electricity and heating fuels.

Step 1. Building Details

  • (e.g., office, warehouse). This will be used to label these emissions on the summary page. You will have the option to add additional buildings if needed.
